Office Manager
Kaylee Dowell
Kaylee serves as the Office Manager at Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage, where she oversees many of the behind-the-scenes operations that keep the practice running smoothly. From billing and insurance coordination to credentialing, provider enrollment, office operations, and process improvement, she enjoys solving complex problems and creating systems that allow both patients and providers to have the best possible experience.
Known for her analytical mindset and attention to detail, Kaylee approaches every challenge with determination and a solutions-focused attitude. She is continually expanding her knowledge of healthcare administration and takes pride in navigating the ever-changing world of insurance, compliance, and practice operations. Whether coordinating with providers, communicating with insurance companies, or improving internal workflows, she is committed to helping the practice operate efficiently while supporting exceptional patient care.
Outside of her daily responsibilities, Kaylee enjoys spending time with her daughter and is always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and improve—both professionally and personally. She believes that strong leadership, clear communication, and genuine care for others are the foundation of a successful healthcare practice.
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Najae
Najae joined Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage in April 2025 and has become an integral member of the billing team. She earned her degree in Medical Billing and Coding from South Puget Sound Community College and brings a strong background in customer service to her role.
Working behind the scenes, Najae specializes in accounts receivable management, patient balances, statement processing, payment allocation, insurance claim resolution, and investigating denied claims to help ensure every account is handled accurately and efficiently.
Committed to both accuracy and patient support, Najae strives to make the billing process as clear and stress-free as possible. She enjoys helping patients better understand their accounts while working closely with providers, insurance companies, and staff to resolve complex billing matters and support the continued financial health of the practice.
Outside of work, Najae enjoys spending time with her three children, continuing to learn and expand her knowledge, and strengthening her faith. She is passionate about helping others and believes making people feel supported, valued, and cared for is one of the most meaningful parts of both her work and her life.
Massage Coordinator
Sandy Crane
Sandy serves as our Massage Coordinator, a role that is unique to Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage. As a retired licensed massage therapist, she brings years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of massage therapy to every patient interaction. Rather than simply scheduling appointments, Sandy takes the time to learn about each patient's areas of concern, preferred techniques, pressure preferences, treatment goals, and insurance benefits.
Using her knowledge of each therapist's techniques, specialties, and style, she thoughtfully matches patients with the provider who is the best fit for their individual needs.

Patient Care Coordinator
Emilie
Emilie is a valued member of the front office team at Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage while pursuing her education to become a Licensed Massage Therapist at Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage. She enjoys learning every aspect of patient care and helping create a welcoming, supportive experience for every patient who visits the clinic.
Emilie assists patients with scheduling appointments, insurance benefit verification, referrals, authorizations, and answering questions to help each visit run smoothly. Working closely with our Massage Coordinator, she also enjoys helping connect patients with the massage therapist who best fits their individual needs. Her favorite part of working at the front desk is seeing the progress patients make throughout their care and watching the positive transformations that occur from their first visit to their last.
Outside of work, Emilie has a special love for animals and always enjoys hearing stories and seeing photos of patients' pets. She also loves hiking and is always happy to chat about favorite trails. Her enthusiasm for helping others and genuine interest in each patient's journey make her a valued member of the Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage team.

Lanisha
Lanisha is one of the friendly faces who welcomes patients to Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage. As a member of our front office team, she helps coordinate appointments, verify insurance benefits, answer phones, complete new patient paperwork, and support the daily flow of the clinic.
With a background in childcare, she enjoys building meaningful relationships with both patients and coworkers while helping create a positive, welcoming experience from the moment patients walk through the door.
Lanisha believes even a simple smile can make a difference. She enjoys making patients laugh, helping them feel at ease, and creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable and cared for throughout their visit. Her friendly personality, attention to detail, and dedication to exceptional service help every patient feel supported from check-in to check-out.

Moriah appreciates the welcoming atmosphere at Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage and enjoys spending her days working alongside her coworkers while helping patients throughout their visits. She takes pride in providing friendly, dependable support and believes that making patients feel valued can make a meaningful difference in their overall experience.
Outside of work, Moriah enjoys playing the violin as part of an orchestra, reading, hiking, relaxing in the sunshine, and spending time outdoors. She is also pursuing her education in communications. Her positive attitude, thoughtful nature, and genuine desire to help others make her a valued member of the Derrick Family Chiropractic & Massage team.

She enjoys getting to know patients, building meaningful relationships, and helping them feel supported throughout their time at the clinic. Whether she's assisting with scheduling, answering phones, checking patients in, or helping with day-to-day office operations, Denae is dedicated to providing friendly, attentive service and making each visit as smooth and comfortable as possible.
With a background in customer service and childcare, Denae has developed a compassionate, patient-centered approach to helping others. She enjoys assisting patients with their questions and believes even the smallest acts of kindness can make someone's day a little brighter. Her calm, reassuring presence and genuine desire to help create an environment where patients feel comfortable, cared for, and supported.
